Help does my child have ocd or tactile sensory disorder?

my almost 4 yr old son is driving me mad! he has recently been referred to be assessed for OCD or autism, but i have been told it could be a while till i get a formal diagnoses. in the meantime i am struggling to cope i don't know what im meant to do? this could take a while but i wil give you a few example :/ first of all the hand washing he always asking for a wipe cause his hands are sticky (which they aren't!) he even started to sneak upstairs to wash them because i say i have no wipes. the worse part of the whole thing is getting dressed- everything hurts him! socks, shoes, vests, trousers, tags- anything that touches his skin hurts. he wears his socks inside out which i think makes it a bit more bearable for him and he must wear velcro fastening trainers, but the velcro has to be fastened perfectly which means they slip of his feet cause they not fastened tight enough but he has to have it perfectly in-line or he will throw a massive violent tantrum. everyday is a battle to get him dressed and throughout the day he constantly asks me to sort his shoes out fasten his coat again or tuck him in the list is endless to be honest! bedtime is a nightmare he has to have everything done in order bath first then PJ's on then he gets me to straighten his curtains make sure his bed is perfectly made and his pillow is the right way up with the opening to the left! his lid on his cup has to b on a certain way to match the picture and positioned in a certain spot on his bedside table!madness i know but if i don't do these things we get the tantrums which last for hours he has punched me kicked me bitten me clawed me etc just because something wasn't done right. meal times can also be a nightmare the food on the plate cant touch and if somebody else touches it its then dirty :/ he is very clingy to his dad who unfortunately at work all day but he only really shows affection to his dad. he plays ok with other children he can be spite-full but what 4yr old isn't right? nursery have said he wont glue or paint and he becomes obsessed with particular toys and that's all he wil play with day in day out. he is a lovely boy don't get me wrong he isn't naughty and i often feel sorry for him cause i know deep down he just cant help it :( school also mentioned he gets very easily embarrassed and often overly embarrassed! i hope somebody can give me some suggestions or advice because i've tried everything i know to help him and nothing has worked :( any advice or comments at all would be appreciated
