Help with Pattern....Assembling of pillow?

Yes I need help with this pattern, I'm making a pillow pattern that I found in Crochet World and can't seem to figure out how to do the panel assembly. I have 8 panels along with the panel separators and it's telling me to with my size I needle and the yarn to sl st 1 panel to the panel separator continuing until all are assembled. It's made in the afghan stitch and the panels consist of ch 8 then doing the afghan stitch with rows of 49, the panel separators are ch 49 then fastened. I know how to sl st I just can't figure out how I would sl st these together. I also have corner squares to assemble. any suggestions would be very much appreciated
