How to put on a halter tag?

this is probably a really stupid question, but i got a personalized round halter tag to try to keep people from stealing my stuff all the time (it comes with an s hook to attach it to the halter) and i'm not exactly sure where to put it. can anyone tell me where is the best place to fasten it?
