Why are some women so against makeup?

I am a woman and I don't find it 'too much trouble' to put on makeup, but I still don't choose to because I personally believe that true beauty comes with who you are, I would honestly rather look at another person who is fine with who they are rather then covering up their face and trying to be someone else.
